Mapua posts 100% for first-time takers in January 2019 sanitary engineering boards

Mapúa University, the country’s premier engineering and technological university, registered a 100% passing rate for first-time takers in the January 2019 Sanitary Engineer Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.

The University posted an overall passing rate of 66.67%, or 2 passers out of 3 examinees, above the national passing rate of 49.45%.

In the previous sanitary engineer exams, Mapúa recorded an overall rating of 87.5% and produced two topnotchers.

Environmental and Sanitary Engineering is among the University’s centers of excellence (COE). Mapúa holds the distinction of having the most number of engineering programs recognized as COE by the Commission on Higher Education.

The program is also accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the United States-based ABET (www.abet.org) and the Philippine Technological Council-Accreditation and Certification Board for Engineering and Technology, ensuring and recognizing its graduates are equipped with necessary educational requirements in entering the globalized industry and the program meets initial academic requirements for global practice in engineering.
